Silver medallist will do the honours for Canada

Cockburn, three time Olympic medallist and 2008 Olympic silver medallist, will be representing Canada when she walks into the National Stadium in Beijing on Sunday carrying her nation's flag.
The
trampolinist has been chosen as the country's flagbearer for the
closing ceremony of the Beijing Games.
The 27-year-old captured silver on Monday in the
trampoline final. Cockburn, of Stouffville, is the fourth Canadian athlete to win medals
in individual competition in three consecutive summer games.
She won bronze in Sydney in 2000 and silver four years ago in Athens.
Other Canadians who won medals at three straight Olympics were Phil
Edwards in track and field in 1928, 1932 and 1936 (bronze); Leslie
Thompson-Willie in rowing in 1992, 1996 and 2000 (gold, silver,
bronze); Kayaker Caroline Brunet in 1996, 2000 and 2004 (two silver and
a bronze).
The closing ceremony will be broadcast on CBC beginning at 6 a.m. Sunday local time.
