Silver Saturday for AVK

Only two GTA athletes saw action Saturday at the Beijing Olympics on the last full day of competition.

Adam van Koeverden (Oakville) won a silver medal in the K1 500 final.

Seamus McGrath (Millgrove) finished 44th in cross-country mountain biking. 

On Sunday the lone medals up for grabs will be in water polo.

The closing ceremonies begin Sunday evening at 8 p.m. (watch for them on the CBC starting at 6:30 a.m.).
